About “Solaris Komoro Merlot 2022”
“Solaris Komoro Merlot 2022” is a red wine made with Merlot from vineyards managed directly by the winery and from contract growers in Komoro’s Osato district.
Only fully ripened, healthy berries are carefully selected through meticulous vineyard work including pruning, shoot thinning, leaf removal, strict yield control, harvesting at the ideal time, and thorough hand sorting and destemming. The wine is fermented in stainless-steel tanks and then aged in barrels for approximately 20 months.
The result is said to be an elegant, well-balanced wine with finesse, reflecting Merlot grown in Komoro’s heavy clay soils.
Tasting Notes
“Solaris Komoro Merlot 2022” has a ruby color with purple hues.
Its aromas include concentrated black cherry, prune and cassis, with nuances of tar and roasted notes.
The palate is very smooth yet offers a firm sense of concentrated fruit, while silky tannins continue pleasantly through the finish, creating an elegant style.
