Origin of the Winery Name
The origin of the name goes back many generations.
After a branch of the family entered service under Matsudaira Tadanao, one of their descendants later served the lord of Aizu.
Following defeat in the Aizu War, the family was relocated to Tonami and later moved to Hokkaido.
It is said that the current representative's grandfather added the name “Suzuran” to the agricultural processing company founded by his father in order to honor the aspirations of those who had moved to Hokkaido.
