Alternative space WALL_alternative will host “CUE,” a two-person exhibition by Ryo Ogata and Shotaro Sanada.
The exhibition runs from Wednesday, April 15 through Saturday, May 9, 2026, at WALL_alternative in Nishi-Azabu.
The adjoining bar will also serve wines from Domaine Tetta.
Here are the details.
About the Two-Person Exhibition “CUE”
“CUE” is a two-person exhibition by Ryo Ogata and Shotaro Sanada.
The artists studied together as undergraduates at Tokyo University of the Arts, and this is the first exhibition they have planned and structured together. More than 20 new and existing works will be shown, centered on large-scale pieces exceeding two meters, along with four new collaborative works created especially for the exhibition.
The venue will bring together overwhelming scale and delicate expression.
An Adjoining Bar Featuring Japanese Wine
The bar at the exhibition will select Japanese wines that allow visitors to experience the exhibition concept through taste as well.
It will serve wines from Domaine Tetta, a winery in Okayama that has restored abandoned farmland and brought dormant land and possibilities back to life. A food menu centered on naturally grown vegetables will also be available.
It is a special period in which to enjoy both art and Japanese wine.
