VISON in Taki, Mie Prefecture has announced two original wines: white “Blanc 2025” and red “Noir 2025.”
Each is a carefully crafted blend combining grapes from VISON's own vineyard with terroirs from around Japan.
Here are the details.
Winemaking at VISON
VISON is a food and wellness resort in Taki, Mie Prefecture.
For this project, grapes from distinctive regions around Japan are combined with a portion of grapes grown within VISON by Ise Utsukushikuni Winery, the first winery in the Ise-Shima area of southern Mie Prefecture, creating a special cuvée.
VISON's vineyard is located on San Sebastián Street, named for its connection with Spain, one of the world's major wine countries. From July 12, 2025, staff from the bars and shops along the street joined in planting grapevines.
Under the supervision of head winemaker Toshihiko Takaya, the project pursues winemaking for the next generation with an emphasis on resource circulation.
