LesPros Entertainment Co., Ltd. has launched the “Grape Harvest Support Project,” a training initiative in which the five-member male wine kayō group “SHiZUKU” will visit wineries across Japan.
The first destination has been selected as Tsukuba Winery.
About the Project
“SHiZUKU” is an adult entertainment group that brings together wine and music. The five male members are between 28 and 35 years old, with an average age of 30.
The “Grape Harvest Support Project” will take members, who are studying wine as they work toward Wine Expert certification, to wineries around Japan. By taking part in grape harvesting, they will experience aspects of winemaking that cannot be learned from textbooks alone.
The First Project at Tsukuba Winery
For the first installment, the members will help with the harvest at Tsukuba Winery, located at the foot of Mount Tsukuba in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
The winery grows Merlot and Chardonnay, varieties assigned to members of the group, as well as their related crosses Hokuten no Shizuku (Riesling × Yamabudo) and Marselan (Cabernet Sauvignon × Grenache).
This harvest project marks an important first step in hands-on learning for SHiZUKU.
It offers a chance to follow the members as they learn about wine through all five senses and grow step by step.
