FELISSIMO Recruiting Participants for Kobe Day Trip Featuring Artisan Handcrafts, an Urban Winery and the Luminarie Light Festival

FELISSIMO Corporation will hold a Kobe day trip featuring hands-on artisan “handcraft” experiences and a visit to the Luminarie light festival.

The noteworthy tour lets participants enjoy Kobe through three craft experiences taught directly by artisans, along with visits to a winery, Kobe Port Tower and a museum. Applications are now being accepted.

Here are the details.

About the tour

This tour by FELISSIMO is the second collaboration with “Hyogo Terroir Journey,” an initiative by the Hyogo Tourism Bureau that shares the region’s deeper attractions and culture.

The day trip combines traditional artisan skills from Hyogo and Kobe, an “urban winery” operated by FELISSIMO, Kobe Port Tower and a chocolate museum available with special discount benefits, plus the Kobe Luminarie that illuminates winter in the city, including a paid-area viewing ticket.

In the evening, guests will enjoy a pairing of locally sourced Italian cuisine and fine drinks at a special venue overlooking Kobe Port. The tour culminates with a leisurely visit to Kobe Luminarie using a special ticket for the paid viewing area.

Tour highlights

Three premium Hyogo terroir experiences are planned: making a sake cup from soil used to grow the prized sake rice Yamada Nishiki, painting a one-of-a-kind decorative komo sake barrel, and making washi paper using Sugihara-gami, which has a 1,300-year history.

The itinerary also includes a tour of the winemaking area and a tasting at the small urban winery “f winery.”

Participants can enjoy Kobe at dusk, a locally sourced dinner, and finally the fantastic light art of Luminarie.
