Terrace and Table, the all-day dining restaurant directly operated by Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki, is launching a project with AIRDO Co., Ltd. to showcase the appeal of Hokkaido in conjunction with the hotel’s fifth-anniversary buffet promotion, “5 [+1] Major Cities PERORI! Hokkaido Buffet Journey.”
Seasonal ingredients from Hokkaido will be flown directly using AIRDO’s “Hokkaido Air Cargo AIRDO Direct Flight” service and served at the restaurant, alongside promotions encouraging tourism to Hokkaido.

About the Project
“Hokkaido Air Cargo AIRDO Direct Flight” is an air-transport service focused on adding value to Hokkaido products by delivering them from producing regions as quickly as possible.
During the Hokkaido Buffet Journey, seasonal vegetables delivered through this service will be offered to guests on selected dates.
Hokkaido Wine Too!
AIRDO serves airports in six regions of Hokkaido, and this project focuses especially on Hakodate Airport and Tancho Kushiro Airport.
For Hakodate Airport, Executive Chef Miyashita visited the area and, with the cooperation of Hakodate City, met local producers and developed dishes using ingredients introduced there.
The team also visited Tsurui Village, about 35 minutes by car from Tancho Kushiro Airport, and plans to promote tourism to the nature-rich village to guests at Terrace and Table.
Alcoholic beverages from Tsurui Village will also be available in limited quantities.
One is beer from craft brewery Brasserie Knot, also sold through AIRDO’s online store, known for a clear, clean taste that evokes eastern Hokkaido’s natural landscape.
Also on offer will be “Couronne Rouge (Red Crown),” a red wine made from Yamachi grapes developed in Hokkaido and grown in Tsurui Village.
