JALPAK Co., Ltd. has begun sales of “Japanese Wine Micro-Winery Owner Introductory Course — Cultivating Wine Culture in Untapped Regions and Winery Management that Enriches Communities.”
The Tabi Academy invites people practicing rich ways of life in regions of Japan and overseas to serve as instructors, offering classroom programs where participants can hear directly from those involved as well as on-site programs filled with real-world stimulation and connections.

About the Classroom Program
The newly offered course is the second installment following the highly popular Tabi Academy program “Find the Best Bottle of Your Life! Introduction to Becoming a Japanese Wine Micro-Winery Owner — Beyond Loving Wine: A Life with Vineyards and Nature.”
Participants will learn about the future potential of wine tourism and consider winery management that enriches local communities as well as the future of Japan’s wine industry.
The classroom program will be held at Wine Shokudo Gioire Kinshicho on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with Miyuki Katori, known as the “mother of Japanese wine,” and Fumito Kakegawa, director and head of winemaking at Cave d’Occi Co., Ltd., serving as instructors.
The session will examine the current state and challenges of Japanese wine, which has developed significantly in recent years, from the perspective of wine tourism.
Overview of the On-Site Program
The on-site program is titled “How Tourism Changed the Winery and the Essence of Winery Management that Enriches Communities.”
The setting will be Cave d’Occi Winery, and the date is Sunday, August 31, 2025.
Participants will be offered special experiences unique to Cave d’Occi Winery, including a winery tour and grape-harvest experience.
