About “NAGANO WINE Discovery 2026 — Summer”
This is the second installment in a seasonal tasting-set series in which the hotel's Sommelier Excellence selects NAGANO WINE that expresses the character of its place and vintage.
Under the themes of refreshment and coolness, the summer edition features two sparkling wines shaped by Shinshu's cool highland climate.
The lineup comes from Karuizawa Ann Winery, with lively acidity and fine bubbles intended to evoke breezes across green highlands, clear blue skies, and the cool air of morning and evening.
About the Wines
The two wines are Ann no Awa Blanc de Noirs 2023 and Ann no Awa Blanc de Blancs.
Ann no Awa Blanc de Noirs 2023 is a dry sparkling wine made in the traditional Champagne method from estate-grown Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Its pale salmon-pink color is complemented by strong quality credentials, including a Diamond Trophy at the 13th Sakura Awards 2026.
Ann no Awa Blanc de Blancs is a dry sparkling wine made from estate-grown Chardonnay, described as a glass suited to Karuizawa summer, recalling clear skies and breezes across the highlands.
