About the Collection
This innovative collection combines the high functionality and refined bowl designs of German glassware brand Zwiesel with handcrafted wooden stems and bases made by artisans from Japanese woodworking brand MOKU glass.
Zwiesel is a high-quality wine-glass brand familiar to wine lovers around the world.
Its collaboration partner MOKU glass creates unique pieces that make the most of the warmth and texture of wood, with no two items exactly alike.
Under the theme “A Fusion of the Finest Materials and Craftsmanship,” the collaboration combines the transparency and coolness of glass with the warmth and organic character of wood, proposing new value and aesthetics in tableware.
About the Products
For this collaboration, Zwiesel created five types of glasses using four bowl shapes—for red wine, white wine, whisky, and grappa—two stem woods, padauk and striped ebony, and three base woods, padauk, striped ebony, and Japanese mountain cherry.
The makers hope users will experience a warmth unavailable in all-glass stemware.
