The Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival 2026 will be held for three days, Friday through Sunday, March 20–22, 2026, at Komoro Distillery and special venues around Komoro City.
Whisky is the main attraction, but local wine will also be available.

About the Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival 2026
Under the theme “Countdown to the First Release,” the festival will feature a variety of programs linking Komoro Distillery with locations around the city.
At the main venue, Komoro Distillery will unveil for the first time the bottle design currently being developed for its first release.
In addition to the bottle unveiling, the distillery will offer tours through the production area, hands-on programs, seminars and other experiences.
In a special seminar, master blender Ian Chang will explore, together with guests over the three days, the ideas behind Komoro Distillery's whisky making, the journey so far and the future it envisions.
Local Wine Will Also Be Available
During the festival, Aioi Street in the city center will become “Whisky Street,” while the area from around Komoro Station to the Hokkoku Kaido will be divided into three zones: the History Zone, Water & Craft Zone, and Fermentation & Flavor Zone.
At special venues including Honmachi Machiyakan and Aioi Kaikan, booths will offer whisky tastings and sales by liquor retailers and guest distilleries, water tasting, local wine tasting, rice and regional specialties, giving visitors a chance to experience the distinctive appeal of the area.
Beginning with the Komoro Distillery Whisky Festival 2026 on March 20, a new “Whisky Journey” will start from Komoro.
