On Saturday, December 20, 2025, Choshi Electric Railway will operate a charter-train event, “Enjoy with a Wine Sommelier! Choden JAF Train — On the Brink.”
The distinctive event will include tastings of local wines.

About “Enjoy with a Wine Sommelier! Choden JAF Train — On the Brink”
The event is jointly organized by the JAF Chiba Branch and Choshi Electric Railway Co., Ltd.
The phrase “on the brink” in the event name was inspired by Choshi Electric Railway’s “On the Brink Project,” named after cliffs found along the railway line.
Using Choshi Electric Railway, a symbol of Choshi City, as its stage, the experience aims to stimulate tourism spending and regional revitalization. On board, guests can experience the appeal of Choshi through local wine tastings, dishes made with local specialties, live performances and other content engaging all five senses.
Program
On the day, guests will be able to compare four wines, including wines from Choshi Budoshu Brewery Zako Manzo Shoten.
Meals made with Choshi specialties by Hennery Farm and commentary from a wine sommelier are also planned.
There will also be a live performance by “on-the-brink” singer Rina Nagae and a lottery with prizes from Choshi Electric Railway and JAF.
