Collaboration with Sadoya: Fuji Sakura Heights Beer Now Selling Christmas Beer “HOBAKU”

Fuji Sakura Heights Beer began limited sales of “HOBAKU” on December 5.

The product is a collaboration with Sadoya, one of Yamanashi Prefecture’s renowned wineries.

Here are the details.

About “HOBAKU”

“HOBAKU” is a special Christmas beer born from a premium collaboration with the prestigious Yamanashi winery Sadoya.

Cabernet Sauvignon harvested from Sadoya’s vineyards is used generously and fermented together with wort, creating an elegant aroma reminiscent of Champagne or grand vin and a delicate, silky mouthfeel.

What’s Inside

“HOBAKU” also uses the rare French hop variety Barbe Rouge for the first time.

The resulting harmony is said to draw out a more refined finish without diminishing the depth of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

With a relatively high alcohol content of 8.0%, it has enough presence to accompany a Christmas dinner main course as well as rich chocolate or an elegant cake.

It is a special beer designed to elevate the dining table almost like a wine.

It is one that Japanese wine fans will also want to watch.
