HAMANASHI HOUSEBOAT, the only floating restaurant on Lake Kawaguchi, is currently offering an “Autumn Foliage Festival Sushi Special Lunch Cruise.”
The special cruise is available at lunchtime every Saturday during the event period.
About the Autumn Foliage Festival Sushi Special Lunch Cruise
The lunch cruise is being held in conjunction with the Fuji Kawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival, running along Lake Kawaguchi from Saturday, November 1 through Sunday, November 30, 2025.
This edition is a collaboration between HAMANASHI HOUSEBOAT and popular Kofu sushi restaurant Wakasushi.
Pairing Koshu Sushi with Local Wine
The special cruise features a sushi-kaiseki lunch prepared by chefs from Wakasushi.
Loved locally in Kofu for more than 40 years, Wakasushi has developed its own philosophy around expressing local food culture through sushi in landlocked Yamanashi, pairing seasonal fish and local vegetables with regional sake and other drinks.
For the autumn foliage season, the restaurant presents an autumn-colored sushi kaiseki course, accompanied by recommendations of Yamanashi sake and wine, including the representative local sake Dan.
Wines from the increasingly noted 7C winery are also included.
