Swailife Wine Shop in Higashi-Nihombashi, Tokyo, has released “Touro,” an orange wine produced by Grape Republic.
A limited run of 300 bottles is available in-store and through the official online shop.
A Joint Project by Three Wine Retailers
This project is a collaboration among three wine retailers.
Each retailer has a different release schedule, and Swailife Wine Shop is releasing its allocation after more than six months of additional maturation.
That extra time is said to give the wine a calmer, more settled profile and greater aromatic depth, qualities unique to this release.
About the Wine and Artwork
The wine was made by Haruyuki Yano of Grape Republic.
Swailife Wine Shop is offering an exclusive bottle design featuring original artwork created by illustrator marie for the label.
The wine offers the layered aroma characteristic of orange wine and a soft, lingering finish that seems to spread gently through the body.
“Touro” is finished in a style that highlights those deep aromas and its mellow aftertaste.
