The hometown-tax donation site “Furunavi” has begun partnerships with 17 new municipalities through its “Furunavi Catalog” service.
Some of the participating municipalities also offer wine as hometown-tax return gifts.

About “Furunavi Catalog”
“Furunavi Catalog” uses a points-based donation system in which donors receive points from the municipality they support and can use those points later to choose local specialty products.
Because the points do not expire, donors can take their time selecting specialty products after making a hometown-tax donation. They can also add more points through donations the following year and accumulate them toward higher-value items.
About the Newly Added Municipalities
Seventeen municipalities have now been added to “Furunavi Catalog.”
Among them are Ikeda Town in Hokkaido, well known for Tokachi Wine, and Tomi City in Nagano Prefecture.
Hometown-tax donations to municipalities known for wine are also noteworthy for fans of Japanese wine.
