Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro to Hold “Winter Grand Hokkaido Fair” from Jan. 8, with a Treat for Wine Fans

The “Winter Grand Hokkaido Fair” will be held at Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro for 19 days, from Thursday, January 8 through Monday, January 26, 2026.

Along with 19 days of seasonal Hokkaido gourmet foods, the fair will feature unique programs including a New Year “Treasure Hunt Wine” lucky-draw experience.

About the “Winter Grand Hokkaido Fair”

The “Winter Grand Hokkaido Fair” is an event held at Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro.

Some vendors will change between the first and second weeks, with around 90 shops participating in total. Highlights include Hokkaido foods selected by buyers and made with seasonal ingredients, such as luxurious bento featuring Tokachi Wagyu beef and generous portions of king crab.

Tobu-exclusive items including sweets made with Hokkaido dairy products, bento, prepared foods and ramen will also appear.

A special program for wine fans!

A wine-focused event will also run during the fair through Monday, January 12, a national holiday.

Under the title “New Year Luck Test! Treasure Hunt Wine,” Tsurunuma Winery will offer its “Treasure Hunt Wine.”

It is an appealing chance to possibly win award-winning bottles or wines made from unusual grape varieties.
