On September 5 (Sat) and 6 (Sun), 2026, “CHIKUMAGAWA WINE DAYS,” a large-scale event showcasing the wines and regional appeal of the Chikumagawa Wine Valley, will be held at venues including Komoro Castle Ruins Kaikoen Garden.
The event is an expanded, wider-area renewal of “KOMORO WINE DAYS,” which has been held since 2018, and will be staged for the first time under the new name “CHIKUMAGAWA WINE DAYS.”
Background
NAGANO WINE has grown into one of Japan’s leading wine-producing regions, with the number of wineries increasing at a pace that places Nagano among the top prefectures nationwide.
In the Chikumagawa Wine Valley alone, there are now more than 70 producers. While enthusiasm for winemaking continues to grow, the region has many small-scale producers, making individual brand recognition and communication ongoing challenges.
By bringing these distinctive producers together in one place, the event aims to present the area’s unique appeal as a major wine region. With the new name “CHIKUMAGAWA WINE DAYS,” the initiative takes a new step forward.
