“Cheese and Whey Festival Vol.3” will be held over two days, Sunday, November 2 and Monday, November 3, 2025, at GOOD NEWS NEIGHBORS in Nasu, Tochigi.
The annual cheese event is also popular among Japanese-wine fans.
Here are the details.
About “Cheese and Whey Festival Vol.3”
The festival brings popular cheese makers and food businesses from around Japan to Nasu Kogen, one of the country's major dairy regions. Visitors can enjoy cheese itself as well as dishes made with cheese and whey.
This will be the third edition. Last year's two-day event drew more than 5,000 visitors.
Festival Content
Programs include learning about expanding uses for whey, making ricotta with whey, a hands-on string-cheese workshop, and a cheese-comparison tour introducing varieties guests may never have encountered before.
Popular producers such as Cheese Kobo Nasu no Mori, Otawara Cheese Station, CHEESE STAND, NakashimaFarm / MILKBREW COFFEE, and Fromagerie Fil will gather at the venue, while food and beverage exhibitors including Coco Farm Winery are also scheduled to participate.
For anyone who can't get enough cheese — as well as wine and food lovers — this should be an enjoyable event.
