Nakaizu Winery Chateau T.S celebrated its 25th anniversary on January 15, 2025.
To mark the occasion, the “2nd Winemakers Dinner” will offer a chance to enjoy special wines that convey the flavors, character, and history born in Izu, paired with cuisine.
Guests can take in views of the gentle landscape and vineyards while enjoying a special dinner paired with Izu wines.
About the Dinner
The “2nd Winemakers Dinner” is designed for guests to fully enjoy food-and-wine pairings while listening to stories told by the winemaker and sommelier.
The major difference from a typical pairing dinner is that “the wine is the star.”
The chef creates dishes specifically to complement several selected wines, refining them through tastings and discussion with the winemaker and sommelier to create a special experience unique to a winery.
This dinner will feature seven wines in total, including specially prepared “25th Anniversary Wine” and “Limited-Production Wine.”
Guests will be able to enjoy special wines that embody the dedication of the growers and winemakers, including wines from varieties that have supported winemaking in Izu since the winery's founding, varieties that were difficult to cultivate in Izu and required years of research before quality and yields stabilized enough for commercialization, and new varieties expected to support Nakaizu Winery in the years ahead.
